Google Analytics MCP — connect GA4 to AI
Connecting Google Analytics 4 to Zylx takes one Google sign-in — the same single Zylx-owned, read-only grant that covers Google Search Console and Google Ads. No client IDs, no Google Cloud project; scopes are incremental, so you grant only what you use. Zylx reads your sessions, channels, events, conversions, landing pages, and engagement, and feeds that traffic-and-behavior context into your Business Brain.
The connection is read-only. AI assistants analyze your analytics; they cannot change your GA4 property.
How the connection is wired
GA4 is never wired directly to an AI model. Zylx holds the read-only grant, keeps the analytics context current, and serves it over MCP to the AI clients you authorize.
What Zylx reads
With the read-only Google grant in place, Zylx reads:
- Sessions
- Traffic channels
- Events
- Conversions
- Landing pages
- Engagement
How fresh is the data?
GA4 is queried through the standard reporting API when an assistant asks, and refreshed in the background roughly twice an hour with a fuller rebuild daily. Zylx does not use GA4's real-time API, so treat figures as recent rather than live-to-the-second.
Zylx does not read:
- GA4 real-time reports — Zylx uses the standard reporting API, not the realtime one
- User-level or personally identifying analytics data
What enters the Business Brain
Traffic and behavior become part of the Business Brain — where visitors come from, what they do, which landing pages convert — fused with search performance from Search Console and revenue from your commerce connections. AI assistants reason across all of it at once instead of reading GA4 in isolation.
The Business Brain is the persistent, structured context layer that Zylx Studio builds from every connection and keeps current automatically.
What AI assistants can do
An authorized AI client can analyze your real GA4 data over MCP:
Read & analyze
- Break down sessions and conversions by channel, landing page, and event
- Explain traffic changes using actual data instead of guesses
- Cross-reference analytics with search queries and revenue from your other connections
This connection is read-only. There are no GA4 write actions — AI analyzes your analytics; it cannot modify your property. Access happens over MCP — an authorized, workspace-scoped connection for Claude, ChatGPT, and other compatible clients. Setup differs by product: connect Claude or connect ChatGPT.
You stay in control
The grant is a single Zylx-owned, read-only Google sign-in with incremental scopes. You approve exactly what Zylx reads, and the grant is revocable at any time.
What disconnecting does
Disconnecting revokes the Google grant. Analytics context stops flowing into the Business Brain, and AI clients lose access to your GA4 data.
Google Analytics 4 + AI FAQ
Is there a Google Analytics MCP?
Zylx acts as one: it reads your GA4 data through a read-only Google grant, structures it into your Business Brain, and serves it over the Model Context Protocol to the AI clients you authorize — Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible assistant.
Can ChatGPT analyze my Google Analytics data?
Yes. Connect GA4 to Zylx and authorize ChatGPT as an MCP connector, and it can analyze your sessions, channels, conversions, and landing pages from real data.
Is GA4 access read-only?
Yes. The Google grant is read-only and there are no GA4 write actions. Nothing an AI assistant does through Zylx can change your Analytics property.
Do I need a separate Google sign-in for GA4?
No. One read-only Google grant covers GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Ads. Scopes are requested incrementally as you use each integration.
Give AI your real analytics
One read-only Google sign-in. Sessions, channels, conversions, and landing pages — in your Business Brain, readable by every assistant you authorize.
